Description:
A evergreen hardy clumping perennial native to two Mediterranean islands, Corsica and Sardinia where it is widespread.
It is plant with stout green stems reaching 90cm-1.2m in height on which all the leaves are carried; there is no basal foliage.
The heavily serrated leaves are slightly dull, greyish green above with relatively inconspicuous veins and the under surface is a paler colour.
It has stout stems and large heads of bowl shaped apple green flowers borne late autumn to spring.
Best in semi shade.
Width: up to 1m
Uses:
Container plant, cottage informal garden, flower border and bed, low maintenance, under shrubs and woodland margin.
