Description: 

An evergreen shrub native to New Zealand.

A coastal growing plant naturally occuring in the North Island and upper South Island.

Leaves are up to 5cm long and are glossy, oblong and leathery.

Flowers are white small bell shaped and hanging.

The female plant bears clusters of blue-black berries along the stems in autumn.

Ht: 1 -1.5m

Uses: 

In coastal areas, as low hedging, New Zealand native plantings.

Propagation: 

By seed or cuttings.
